I am a scrimshaw artist in Florida. My name is Jimmie “Smitty” Smith. My web site is smittysdesigns.com, my email is smittysdesigns@aol.com. I have 2 face book pages Jimmie H Smith and Smitty’s Designs. A lot of my work is on Facebook. I have been a scrimshander for 50+ years. Contact me if interested.
Hi Jimmy, love your work – very inspiring! We’re coming up on a snowstorm here, so I’m hoping they cancel school – that way in between clearing the driveway and the roof I can catch up on the site. Glad to add you to the map!
Hi Ron, Andrew Perkins here. I think you may have wanted to connect with Jimmie H. Smith? He can be contacted on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/smittysdesigns I only work on mammoth ivory within the state if at all, and actually haven’t worked on actual ivory for anyone but myself in a couple of years, tending to work with galalith and other ivory alternatives, since I do like to sell my work unhindered by copy/paste laws (don’t get me started š ). Hope this helps,
Andrew
Where can I see you work and prices? Got an old school broucher? Or maybe send me link. Couldn’t get on web site for some reason. Thanks

Do you do Skrimshaw work on ivory furnished by the customer? Also do you do scrimshaw on ivory when the customer furnishes the art work?

Hi Carter, mostly I’ve been selling on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/scrimshaw?ref=seller-platform-mcnav). These days I’m working on bone and ivory alternatives.

Hi Bob,
you may have someone closer to you that would like to take on this project – Cathy Grandalski (https://www.linkedin.com/in/cathy-grandalski-3998b674/) is one of the closest. You can check on https://www.scrimshaw.com/scrimshaw-artists/ for other people – it looks like Ohio might be the next closest. I’ve got a number of projects I’m working on through the summer and fall.
